Gianluca has 20 years of experience in humanitarian and development contexts with particular reference to Southern Africa and South East Asia where he worked and lived in various countries. Since 2015 he has been working in the humanitarian sector of Save the Children with a focus on crisis areas of importance for the organization and on the inclusion of policies and operational approaches of the contemporary humanitarian sector. In particular, in recent years he has concentrated his expertise on surge capacity, approaches to crisis prevention, localization and the link between Humanitarian-Development and Peace. In this regard, he participates in the DGCS working table for the definition of guidelines for the application of the Nesso for Italian cooperation

He has worked as a logistician and head of mission in numerous countries in Africa, Asia and South America. From 2007 to 2013 he was the General Manager of Doctors Without Borders (MSF) Italy.

Filippo Miraglia, born in 1964, lives in the province of Rimini with his wife Monia and three sons. A physics graduate, he has been teaching for over a decade in upper secondary schools. In 1993 he began his militancy in the ARCI in Pistoia, after a few years of commitment in the Black association and beyond, which in that year merged with the ARCI. In Nero and beyond, since the end of the eighties, he begins to deal with the defense of the rights of migrants and the battle against all racism, a commitment that will continue in the ARCI, becoming in 2004 the national immigration officer of the association. He has contributed to the promotion of several campaigns against racism and in favor of migrants, including the Italy I am too campaign and the most recent I welcome. He currently works in Rome as an ARCI immigration officer.

 

He was vice president of ARCI from 2014 to 2018 and from 2016 to 2020 president of ARCS, the ARCI NGO that deals with international cooperation and solidarity. He currently works in Rome as immigration officer of ARCI and is president of the Officine Solidali Consortium, the first ARCI consortium made up of the main entities that deal with the reception of asylum seekers and refugees.

Professor Ignacio Tirado was appointed Secretary-General by the Governing Council at its 97 th session, and officially took office on 27 August 2018. A national of Spain, Professor Tirado (Commercial, Corporate and Insolvency Law, Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, Spain) holds a PhD from the Universities of Bologna and Autónoma de Madrid and an LLM from the University of London. Professor Tirado has been a Senior Legal Consultant at the World Bank’s Legal Vice-Presidency and Financial Sector Practice for more than nine years, having also consulted for the IMF on insolvency related matters as well as for the Asian Development Bank on commercial legal reform.

 

Amongst other accolades to his professional experience, Professor Tirado is a founding member of the European Banking Institute, an International Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and has been Director and Academic Co-Chair of the International Insolvency Institute.

Mr. Valerio Domenici is the Product Marketing Manager for Africa and Middle East at CNH Industrial. In this role he is responsible for the Harvesters, the Hay and Forage Equipment and Sprayers within the Case IH brand. Valerio joined CNH Industrial over 15 years ago in Supply Chain department in the offices of Modena, Italy. He then moved to the headquarter of the AMEA region in Lugano, Switzerland to cover different product marketing roles for Case IH and New Holland Agriculture. Tatiana Esposito has been dealing with labor and inclusion policies for the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies since 2001. Among the issues you worked on are those relating to the labor market, employment incentives and cooperation between EU member states in the fight against social exclusion, working conditions, equal opportunities. From 2006 to 2008 you held the role of National Expert seconded to the European Commission Directorate General for employment, social affairs and equal opportunities. From 2008 to 2016 he worked in Brussels for the Permanent Representation of Italy to the European Union, as an expert on employment, social policies and equal opportunities and a permanent member of the Social Issues Group of the Council of the European Union. of which she was President on the occasion of the Italian Presidency in the second half of 2014.
