Dialogue, responsibility, innovation: for a cooperation in which no one is excluded.Organized by Save the Children15:00 - 16:00 | Hall 2
We are currently experiencing a particularly delicate period in international relations, in conflict management, in the defense of human rights. It is becoming essential to rethink our responsibilities, each in their own field of intervention, and to undertake paths to implement a development model in which no one is excluded, nor can be left behind, in a world that has sustainability as its central pivot. To achieve this, it is crucial to adopt a participatory approach that involves institutions, civil society organizations, academia, the scientific and technological community, and the private sector in decisions, encouraging the creation of intergenerational partnerships as foreseen by the 2030 Agenda and reaffirmed in the last Future Summit last September in New York.In Italy, the international cooperation system is working to promote innovative models, including through public-private partnerships and new financial instruments, to have even more systemic effectiveness and adequate funding. Companies are increasingly faced with the need to start their economic activities according to models that support sustainable development and therefore the protection of human rights along the entire value chain. Civil society organizations are committed to giving a voice to those who cannot have one, supporting development cooperation initiatives in every area of the world. With this event, Save the Children wants to animate a debate on the importance of defining and then building partnerships with the public and private sectors in the context of international cooperation projects that focus on three key words: dialogue, responsibility, innovation.
