Raffaele K. Salinari

Raffaele K. Salinari was born in Zurich in 1954; he is a doctor specializing in emergency surgery and first aid and obstetrics and gynecology. He has worked for over twenty years in Asia, Africa and Latin America as a health development expert for international non-governmental organizations and UN agencies (Unicef, WHO, UNHCR). He has been teaching History of International Development Cooperation and Project Cycle Management for over twenty years at the universities of Urbino, Bologna, Parma, Rome, and in several Masters in Spain, Tunisia, Bolivia and France. After being its President from 2001 to 2015, he is currently President Emeritus of Terre des Hommes International. Member of the Board of Save the Children Italy, he is a member of the International Council of the World Social Forum.
