Fabrizio Lobasso

Fabrizio Lobasso has been a diplomatic official since 1997.He is currently Deputy Central Director for Sub-Saharan African Countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and, before returning to Rome, he was head of the commercial economic office in Santiago de Chile, consul in Athens and Italian ambassador in Khartoum.During his career he has been involved in commercial diplomacy, press and communication, multilateralism in the G8 sphere, international competitions and candidacies and political strategy towards the Horn of Africa and East Africa.In 2017 he founded the first world chair of intercultural diplomacy at the University of International Studies of Rome (UNINT) where he is currently a lecturer. For years you have been conducting research and publishing essays on the relationship between intercultural phenomena and international relations. You conduct training activities in parallel in the main Italian universities and research and training centers, in the areas of leadership, intercultural communication, public speaking, mediation and international negotiation as well as conflict management.He completed his training at Harvard (Executive Education Certificate in public leadership) and the Geneva Center for Security Policy (violent extremism).He holds a doctorate in political science (Sufism and radicalism in Sudan) and is a visiting professor at El Nilein University in Khartoum.He is a member of the steering committee of the E4Impact Foundation in Milan.
